ABOUT
the story of a lip balm addict
I am the type of person that has a lip balm for every room in the house. There's one stashed away in every purse and backpack I own. I even have a dedicated lip balm that I keep in my pocket at work. I cannot be without lip balm.
I am also a very sensitive person. And I don't mean emotionally (well, okay, emotionally, too, but I'm getting somewhere with this). My lips, skin, nose, and head are very sensitive to new textures, ingredients, and smells. With the different flavors and lip balm brands, there's so many different ingredients thrown into them. I am a cautious person and always check the ingredients, but it's really hard when I don't know how I am going to react to a new flavor from my favorite brand because of the artificial flavorings or coloring they use in it. For example, I bought a plain Chapstick brand lip balm that just said "Daytime" on it. No scent was listed so I decided to just buy it. Should be simple if there was no flavor, right? Wrong. I am allergic to sunblock, and it turned out there was SPF in it and my lips had the most terrible allergic reaction that lasted more than a week. I couldn't even open my mouth to take a bite of food because the corners of my lips were so inflamed and cracked.
That was the final straw. I knew it was time to make my own lip balm because I never wanted to feel that pain again. So I did my research. I looked at different product labels, different online recipes, and then bought my ingredients. It took a lot of experimenting to get the ratios just right, and even sometimes the consistencies are slightly different in each batch. But that's the beauty of homemade products. No two are exactly the same. It started off as just a hobby - something fun to share with my family and friends, then everybody starting wanting some.
I finally decided to sell my Lip Balms to everyone when I had another horrible allergic reaction to something I ate - my lips were hurting so bad. I didn't want to talk, eat, or drink. Then in turn, I got a really bad migraine from the allergic reaction. So I used my Lavender Peppermint Lip Balm and my lips were healed in TWO DAYS instead of the usual week or two. AND my migraine was put at ease almost instantly.
My lip balms are designed not only to help nourish and heal lips, but to also put ease to the rest of your mind, and in turn, your body. I have all kinds of different flavors that are recommended to help in different situations and to different people who like simple, organic ingredients and a variety of flavors.

From there I branched out into some basic skincare, starting with Face Mists and moving on to Body Scrubs. As a person who loves to be creative and take on new hobbies, I have continued to experiment with new products regularly. I am constantly adding new skincare, beauty, pet, and household items to my label, all with the same theme of soothing the mind and body with only necessary ingredients.

REY

Rey is actually the one in charge. Her purebred German Rottweiler blood makes her the most stubborn princess, but mommy & daddy spoil her rotten. She is six years old and the cutest brat you'll ever meet.

We adopted Kylo around four years ago. He's a snuggle-bug and loves his family more than anything. He's 25% Rottweiler and a whole mix of everything else. He's also about six. Rey is his absolute best friend.
